That’s the rally cry of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which on its website claims to have championed “the public interest in every critical battle affecting digital rights” since 1990.
The watchdog group’s latest analysis examines 18 major Internet companies – from email providers to ISPs to social networking sites – to see where they stand when the government seeks access to user data.
