Congratulations on your decision to become an entrepreneurial start up!  Whether you go on this adventure from your home office, or a full fledged brick and mortar location, there are several industries that are a must for operating your business efficiently and safely and have in place before you hit go.

Home Office-
Cabling to office room, multiple ports/jacks, clean environment
IT managed services, physical firewall, monthly support and security,
Business Class Internet vs residential, Static IPs, priority Internet support,
VoIP and Fax2Mail services to expand well beyond and in conjunction with cell capabilities,

Moving to a new location:
Utilize a commercial realtor or tenant representative at least six months out, no cost to you.
Pre-qualify the office for Internet bandwidth, voice infrastructure and construction before signing a lease.
Cable the office before moving in and have any previous cable removed if that was not already completed.
Order Internet, static IPs, months in advance, could require construction delaying move. This needs to be ordered at least two months in advance.  We have so many horror stories about businesses not addressing this in time to open as expected.
VoIP call flow design and phone order, programming, delivery, setup, and activation before move in.  You can actually be operational before your start date if properly planned for.
