The NAA is assessed as a percentage of monthly recurring and usage charges for local, intrastate, interstate, international, data, private-line and voice messaging services and the Interstate Access Charge (IAC) and Interconnection Fee (ICF). The NAA is intended to recover NCT’s increased operating cost due to certain rulings by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The NAA is charged as a percentage of total monthly recurring and usage charges.
