Last time we discussed how you choose to do things as a provider, this week as a customer.

As a customer what is your philosophy or how do you choose to select a provider or a service?

  • Is it price based only?  You will get what you pay for!!!…
  • Is it based on past experience with a specific provider?
  • Is it by a referral?
  • Is this decision a quick fix/band aide and will you need to shell out later or pay the consequences.
  • Is this an emotional decision?
  • Is this an emergency?  Fixing an issue that should have been addressed previously.
  • Are you a technophobe or a technology nut?  Either can be very dangerous.

Here are some important areas to consider.

  • Does the provider educate you on several options?
  • Do they cover the pros and cons of each solution?
  • Will they walk you through any necessary steps?
  • Are they out to make a sale regardless of your needs?
  • Does the provider interview you for immediate needs, AND long term goals with options for possible change?
  • Is the provider a business partner of yours interested in your success?
  • Does the provider offer additional benefits free of charge?
